Political Impact
of Chandrashekhar Azad on Indian History
- Azad was a revolutionary who believed British would have to be sent back via force and violent means.
- This was because the Britishers were also using those same means on Indians to make them their slaves. This created a different political view than Gandhiji and Congress.
- This thought of violence was more in line with the principles of the Hindustan Socialist Republic Association which was led by Ram Prasad Bismil.
- Later, it was led by Azad after Bismil was hanged by Britishers.
